Great guy, kind, and open to discussion. Sometimes lectures/topics can drag on excessively, but he wants you to succeed. Topics are like a refresher of the HR curriculum so you might not learn anything new, but it's helpful for exams!!
I would strongly recommend avoiding this professor if possible. He is very unaccommodating and often comes across as rude when students ask for help or clarification.
this dude does not respond to emails and is the worst prof ever. i regret taking this course
guys if you like having your ears destroyed, this class is for you. enjoy
I don't agree with the reviews he has. I was in his MHR 623 course, and I think he's one of the most fair professors I've had. I learned a lot from his personal stories and how in-depth he goes on each slide. While there are many slides and it can get draining, he was overall a very good prof. Just be prepared for the midterms!
The midterm was all written and when more then half the class failed he said “if you failed drop the course now because you're more then likely not going to pass”. WOW THANKS. You would think when your class all fails that the issue is how your teaching but NO he continues to mumble jumble his way though lectures.
He isn't accommodating at all. His marking makes no sense.
40% of your grade is based off of group work, and you don't get to choose your group, so if you're stuck with a bad one, good luck. This class is taught entirely by students, with Professor Church chiming in in student-led class openers and discussions. These drag on and there's minimal moderation. He grades low with not much feedback given.
AWFUL PROF. Stay awayyyy. I only took this course because i had too or else i would have stayed way clear of robin church as he has a reputation of being HORRIBLE. He dosnt even teach he throws charts up on the screen and starts talking about companies as if we are suppose to know how that relates to the chart and theory being shown.
This class was pretty brutal. You're expected to complete class openers and discussions every week, regardless if you're presenting or not (which you don't know until day of). Makes it unfair since some groups need to prepare a speech every single week, while others who present the first weeks do not. Had 5% of mark back by drop-date.
