Really funny and engaging prof! Cares about his students and truly wants them to succeed
Had him for HTL 510 in the Fall 2024 semester. Amazing lectures and learned a lot. There are a lot of assignment to do but he takes you through everything step by step and explains it very well so it becomes easier to do them. He is a fair marker and given that you have a lot of assignments, there's plenty of room for improvement. Overall very good
Really enjoyed this prof! His lectures were really engaging and by the time mid-terms and exams came around study was easy because of how immersive his lectures are. There is no textbook but he does assigns a lot of readings, however he also uploads an audio version of each reading which is really helpful! Highly recommend!
I loveee this class and this professor. He was so engaging and the funniest. Took the time to answer questions and emails. 10/10 would recommend this class and this teacher.
He was okay at most. He was forgetful during our final assignment and didn't look through the work submitted which ended up getting my group a lower grade than we deserved. This is important because the 3 top groups with the highest grades were to opt out of the final exam and do a presentation instead. We were in the top 3 but it was too late.
He's a solid professor. In-depth with his assignments, thinks about student's lives outside of class, etc. He responds to emails quickly and feels like he genuinely cares about his students (fun lectures, industry-based content, provides students with volunteer opportunities) Intense final group project though so watch out for that.
I don't know what the rest of these people are on, but this is probably one of the worst professors I've had at Ryerson. His grading criteria never matches up with his assignment breakdowns (claims you are missing things when it was never mentioned to include) is forgetful with deadlines and has problems with technology every class.
Really solid prof. This course has fun assignments, interesting topics, and is an easy A. I loved the readings the prof assigned (which is rare LOL). The weekly activities are really just for participation marks, so don't spend too much time on those. I was unable to attend weekly tutorials due to my work sched and the prof was super accommodating.
Such a kind man and genuinely wants his students to do good. He will give extensions and change assignments if he feels its too much and students want it. I thought the weekly tutorials/ig posts/sunday prep were ridiculous though and took up so much time. Other than that the assignments were so easy and its an easy A
600+ dollars wasted on a useless mandatory course. Keep your laptop out during class even when he says not to and be productive because there is nothing to learn in the lecture. Messed up the deadlines twice on the final assignment. All 3 lectures I had with Chris were useless.
