Hla Wynn

Dr. Wynn is a good professor compared to the previous orgo professors that I have. Keep in mind that this is NOT AN EASY COURSE! YOU NEED TO STUDY!GO TO CLASS! You will realize his tests are simple and straight forward if you actually go to his class and study frequently at home(DO ASSIGNED PROBLEMS), instead of cramming at the last minute

Dr. Wynn is the best organic chemistry prof I have ever had (compared to the other 4 I have had). The ratings are low because this class is tough, however the prof is not to blame. This class requires lots of hard work, coming to class, taking notes, reading the textbook and doing problems. His tests are very fair to what he teaches.

Worst Prof ever, I asked him whats on the test and he said I can't tell you, unless you come to all my classes. Then on blackboard he wrote the test is on what we talked about in class. Biggest 3#Y$Q#(&@( ever! If you can stay away until Dr.Iyer teaches it; shes atleast a good prof!

Dr. Wynn is an amazing professor. All the ratings are low because this is probably one of the hardest courses I've ever taken. I hate chemistry with a passion but Dr. Wynn made it interesting, if you do all practice problems his exams are similar to those and they are not too hard! He's marks exams and quizzes leniently too! =)

Horrible prof. Can't teach well and makes the midterm and exams very hard. Never responds to questions by email or in lectures. Overall terrible experience in his class.

The final in this exam was the most unfair exam I have ever written in my life. Make sure you memorize EVERY detail of every page of every chapter as he does ask things he does not teach and makes it worth an enormous portion of marks. If your marks are of importance to you, I recommend taking a different class.

Switch classes or stay clear.

I'm taking his course right now and struggling. He doesn't take students' comprehension of topics/concepts into consideration and rushes through everything. Very vague when answering questions. Doesn't have office hours/office when needed. There SHOULD be some kind of accompanying recitation class or tutorial for this lecture.

Professor Wynn is unorganized in his teaching model&plan. He doesn't spend time explaining key concepts. It is true that he rushes, without consideration, the most crucial chapters and sets up students to fail. Also using pop quizzes and attendance marks is a cheap way of forcing students to attend his class, who would do better teaching themselves

This is the first negative review unfortunately I have ever written on this. If you can switch to be with another teacher do it. I'm sorry to say he did the same with our class, cancelled one midterm to make the other 40%, rushed the hardest 4 lectures in the last 2 classes and seems uncomfortable teaching. He is a nice man, but aweful prof.
