Amazing teacher that wants to bring out the best in you

Literally the best prof ever. Remember to do the weekly discussion posts as they are worth 20% in total. She marks very fairly on the three papers and provides excellent feedback which can be used for future papers. Recommend taking this class in summer tho bc the readings can be too much. However, if you have a chance take any class with this prof

Jenny really is an absolute gem. This is by no means a bird course that you can slack in, but if you put in the effort, you will really see results. Her great feedback is extremely helpful and really sets you up for improvement. She amazing and I'd recommend this class to anyone!

I was never really one for literature courses and I only took this course since it was available online in the spring. Jenny made this course very enjoyable with her amazing feedback, great availability for questions and very well written lecture slides. Jenny is one of the best teachers I have ever had at Ryerson. She is so passionate about the material and it really shows in the slides she prepares. The lectures were very enjoyable and discussion based and she really likes it when people contribute to the class discussions. Her feedback is very helpful and sh is really clear with her expectations

One of the most compassionate professors! She is beyond accommodating and cares about her students understanding the material for their future benefit. Jenny is quirky and fun, and makes her best attempt to connect with students by being genuine and transparent. She's not an 'easy A' but does everything she can to make to make you succeed!

This course is divided into 3 essays and participation. Jenny gives very good and clear feedback after each assignment so you know how to improve for next time. Super helpful and genuinely cares for her students. Make sure you participate in class or go to her office hours to get that 10%. Overall, great prof!

She's a very caring prof. Super hard marker and makes you work, but gives great feedback to improve your work. She won't hesitate to help you if you ask. I improved my writing skills because of her, and I had to work for it!

Jenny is an amazing professor, she really knows how to engage students. The choice of books (Hunger Games, Oryx and Crake etc) was good as we had read most of these prior to coming to class. However, you have to work really hard to get a good mark on assignments (2 papers 20% each and 1 essay 30%). She gives good feedback so take advantage of that.
