Sam Lampropoulos

Had this professor in my GBC course during the winter semester 2022. His lectures were pre recorded and the assignments were quite easy and gives you full mark if you give it 100%. It was just assignments, homework quizzes, exams and that's it. It was also flexible if you can't do your work and give you a good deadline to finish it.

Classes are very short and assignments due every week. He is an easygoing person, however his tests are way too difficult and the answers can't be found in the slides nor are discussed in class.

Great professor. Educated and experienced. He teaches well and the slides contain information adapted from textbook. He tests on relevant things he teaches on, so it's best to attend to know. He does practice questions in class that enables students to ask questions if they'r struggling mathematically. Attend, participate, listen and you will get A

Sam is a wonderful guy. Super sweet, understanding, and helpful. GMS401 includes a massive group project and he offers his help. His slides cover 90% of what you need to know, and he takes questions from test banks. He uses real life examples in his lectures and even though he isn't the most upbeat, he isn't terribly boring. Great choice.

Makes exam really hard and teaches you nothing

His tests were easy but exam was brutal.

Sam was a very good professor! Very consistent with what he says, very understanding of different student situations. So respectful. Classes have a lot of content and sometimes he goes through the theory very fast, so I would recommend reading the book if you really want to understand all the details of the material.

He as a Prof is a good choice but he uses the testing center for all exams and quizzes. You need the textbook to do well on his exams, they are from them and not his slides that he teaches off of. Assignments are good and he is very generous but the exams are very difficult!

Had him for CGMS 401 in Chang School and he was a very great professor. Every class was always very interesting and enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable in the subject, and makes it interesting by relating it to his past work experiences. Everything that is in the tests and the final exam, are things that he has covered in the homework and in class.

Sam is a great prof, very understanding. Somewhat lecture heavy but always out early. Final project is hefty but for 20% I wouldn't think otherwise. Both assignments were easy and covered in class. Does a lot of practice questions, good prep for exams. Gives exact midterm and final review sheets. Overall good prof, would take him again.
