Rupa Banerjee

Amazing class. It usually takes the full three hours, but if you stay, she often drops important information that personally helped me on both the midterm and the final exam. To my knowledge, she does not mark the exams herself—her TA does—but nonetheless, she is an amazing professor who teaches an amazing course.

Really nice professor. She's an easy marker and very fair. Attendance is important because there's a quiz every class. The lectures are 3 hours long, but you actually learn a lot about real-world situations. There's group work, one midterm, and one final, and everything is very manageable. Overall, great course and great prof!

yea shes nice but I feel like sometimes she represents her opinion/ideology as facts which im not a fan of. she moves the tests to the end of class to prevent people from leaving. if people have to leave let them. why does she care so much if we're the ones paying to be there?

this prof is nice and teaches alright, but it's a summer course in the morning and she expects you to show up every day and participate in depth and that alone is worth 30%..

all i have to say is that Rupa is AMAZING. her assessments and exams are very fair, if you pay attention in class and review outside of class you will do fine. there is 10% participation mark which is not the best but apart from that she is such an amazing professor, one of my favourites for sure!

Will change the participation quiz in spite of students leaving class early to force them to stay. Not sure why she cares so much about 1% of our grade but if people need to leave - let them. We're paying to be there not the other way around. Overall, she is a decent prof but her opinions and experiences can get in the way of the facts.

Review - Rupa Banerjee is a great prof who cares about her students. Her lectures are thorough and detailed but be prepared to engage and answer in class as it counts towards participation marks. Also read before class cause there are quizzes at the end of each class. Project and final exam are fair. Overall, I would take her again in the future.

Rupa is honestly one of my favourite MHR professors ever. There are participation and quizzes in every lecture, and the class goes on for the full 3 hours often. The participation is easy as you just have to talk in class and do the quiz, and the quizzes are common knowledge and what we learned in class. She also told us exactly what was on exams.

Professor Banerjee is thoughtful, caring and has a wealth of knowledge. I found that her lectures we clear and her testing and assignments we relatable to course, she also provided great feedback and encouragement on assignments.

Don't take HR with this professor, you will regret it. She is not very engaging and marks it extremely hard to do well on assignments.
