One of the most passionate and caring teachers at RSID. Such an inspiring & genuine person. She really loves to teach & you can tell. She gives amazing feedback & shes thorough. If you're willing to put in work you'll learn a lot from her. She's really open minded & is more interested in teaching you how to be creative- rather than what to create.

Catherine is a very dedicated professor who always gives the most amazing feedback. She is amazing at responding to emails and helps you to develop a great final project. You need to put as much dedication in as she does if you want the best outcome. I have loved having Catherine over the years and hope to have her again!

This lady is so kind and inspiring. Honestly one of the best profs at this school. She makes you create! I've had her a few times for different courses and I respect her. Some would consider her a tough grader but shes FAIR, and at this school where everybody has opinions on design and their own expectations a fair grader is hard to come by.

Amazing professor! Inspiring, insanely helpful in class and during office hours, will do anything to help you get where you want if you're willing to work for it. If you have her, you're in luck!

I adored working with Catherine. She really cares about your process. Show up, do the work and you will do amazing! She very much allows her students to explore, our final presentations were very diverse and unique. Highly recommend if you are self-motivated student. But if you miss class, you will be docked marks.

I had a good experience with Catherine. She is very professional, fair, and gives good suggestions and guidance for projects. She sets a timer during critiques and makes sure each student gets an equal amount of time. She treats all students equally. I really enjoyed this course and got a lot out of it. I loved the models I made in this class!

Very reasonable about expectations, more concerned with a final product that reflects the students ability rather than just the 'best' Cares a lot for the well being of students and more than willing to compromise on deadlines if she can see you are working hard Wants to see you research possible design solutions rather than giving you the answer

Catherine was my first year prof for vertical. At first she was very confusing and would talk circles around your work. Once you took her advice and showed her that you were ready for a challenge and were willing to listen to her advice then she started to listen to your ideas. If you disagree with her crit you had better have a good reason why

Her comments were contradictory and inconsistent. Overall she was not helpful and I felt that she was very condescending. My IRN experience with her still angers me to this day. Definitely beware.
