Lu Wang

I was a bit skeptical taking her class, but i am glad I did. I really enjoyed her lectures and slides and her personality! she is a very sweet and caring professor who cares about her students, the class is also relatively easy as long as you pay attention and engage with her. The class only has a midterm, group project and essay. Its easy marks!

Lu Wang is nice and it seems like she cares, but at the same time she is a very harsh marker. Even if you think you did well on a lab, do not get your hopes up! Her ruberics are also difficult to follow and understand. Her labs are heavy as well will require you to spend hours on one thing. As well, she takes her sweet time to reply to emails.

The professor is unprofessional in every manner and she will expect things of you that has never been taught ever in all four years. She is rude and does not give extra help. Avoid at all costs.

I learned more in lectures from the 3 minute videos she would play. Despite taking a history class it's clear her focus is geography as that's all she ever talked about. And while I can tolerate difficult to understand professors, even when I could understand her she wasn't teaching the course subject.

This class was my least favourite class. She's a tough marker, she deducts marks for piddly mistakes. She takes forever to answer e-mails so you're better off not e-mailing her. I didn't find her lectures informative at all. She's a nice professor but her teaching methods have to be changed and her marking system has to change as well.

Amazing prof in my opinion and helpful. Her instructions were very clear if you read them properly and asked questions if you had any misunderstandings. Really good overview for the exam also.

Lu is a great prof and very passionate about the course. It is a lot f work and she goes over many case studies. She gives feedback on labs and is always willing to help. Prepare to do a lot of work, but you will come out of the class with a lot of new GIS and stats techniques

She definitely cares about her students, but her grading is very much based on what she thinks is the best (i.e. she doesn't like your subtitle in your report so she'll dock you marks). She also doesn't teach at all ... I did not learn anything from her and had to teach myself everything which made it so difficult.

Easy marker and good person. Sometimes hard to understand and her assignment instructions are sometimes unclear. Will help you if you've got any problems. Overall, fun and interesting course.
