Great professor. The content of the course was very straightforward. He does take the time to fully explain processes, so it isn't difficult to follow along. Textbook readings are suggested for his course, but more so for familiarity.
His lectures were all incredibly clear and easy to follow and its clear he knows what he's talking about and cares for his students. Reading the chapters beforehand is helpful if you want further expiation, but not necessary because he explains it well in lecture anyways. attendance also isn't required but if you want a decent mark attend.
Wanted to kms myself after his tests. I had to retake this course after failing it the first time with this professor. He is a very tough marker, and it was often unclear where I was losing marks. He doesn't really hold typical office hours, is hard to reach by email, and his responses sometimes came across as condescending
gives us 2 hours to answer 14 long answer questions. for the midterm he gave us an hour and half to answer 7 q's how does that make sense. prof is hard and his slides don't contain all the info so you have to attend class. hes a nice guy but not a good teacher. avoid the class altogether
nick was a great prof! make sure to attend ALL lectures and take notes, you don't really have to complete the readings beforehand (even tho he says its mandatory), but attending lectures and active participation will guarantee your success in the course!
This class was one of my favorites last semester. I was kind of worried at first, but it ended up being relatively easy for me. Prof Nick delivers the material in a simple manner, all you really need to do is attend class ALWAYS and pay attention to his examples, because a lot of what he discusses in class come up in the final.
This professor teaches the course the way it should and if you attend all the lectures you will have no problem leaving the class with an A. There is minimal need to read the textbook, all the info you need is on the slides (Tip though, the slides he posts online have some slides taken off compared to the slides shown in class so need to attend)
Knowledgeable prof but grading is vague at first. It can be challenging to figure out what is expected and he will not give away easy marks like some other profs are in earlier courses. Quite supportive but make sure you reach out to him ASAP if you need help with the course.
One of the best! Zoom lectures, due to Covid-19.
Worst prof ever. You're better off reading and understanding the material on your own. The material itself is interesting but when taught by someone as monotone, expect zoom fatigue. Weekly readings are heavy so get ready to READ!!! Also, nick is extremely unforgiving when it comes to grading. I wouldn't recommend taking 703 with nick. Seriously.
