Peggy Woo

like someone else alluded to, the textbook might as well have been written in another language. literally makes no sense. the text is useless. this course is extremely hard and it seems like they intentionally want to fail you.

Had Professor Woo for CACC 410 online. No lectures given, was told to just read the material. Exams and quizzes were all marked by Wiley. Emails back relatively quickly, but any concepts/questions discussed are purposely vague/ unclear. Not very helpful at all. I will not take her class again unless I have no other choice.

Peggy Woo is literally no help. She does not understand the accessibility needs of students and will yell at you if you have technical difficulties. All the work is from the textbook, and if you read it and understand it, you will pass. Her Lectures consist of her reading pre-recorded slides, which is not helpful at all. Steer Clear of her!!!!!

Honestly pretty pointless to take this class with her as you're teaching yourself everything with the textbook. Mark breakdown was okay, but final worth 60%, midterms worth 15% each and online assignments. Would not recommend taking her class as I barely learned anything and the grading was questionable since it was online. Responds to emails fast

Read the textbook, do the weekly assignments and you'll get an easy A. She marks fairly and if most of the class struggles on a question she will give part marks to everyone. Peggy responds to emails quickly and always provides marks for exams within 1 week.

Peggy's really nice. Answers emails promptly. Her example questions have very good explanations. If you do all the practice questions you'll do just fine.

Absolutely useless. Ryerson has been getting praised as "up and coming", and is often touted as having a growing and strong business program. Well, in my opinion most post-secondary institutions these days aren't that different. They're just a well-orchestrated money machine.

She is so useless. The course itself isn't difficult IF you do the homework and questions over and over, as her midterms stem from those. However, you could tell her exam was derived from older versions of the textbook because even she couldn't understand what one of the questions was asking for. Don't expect a clear response if you ask something.

I am a regular CE student and did so well in difficult courses including CFIN 401a very hard course. However, I found this teacher to be very unorganized and the course content all over the place on BB. Worst prof ever, there is a reason why we still have a teacher or it would be taught by a computer. She was NO HELP!

I hope to God people read these reviews before they consider taking this class with Peggy. I don't know if the class is poorly planned out, or it was Peggy, but I honestly learned nothing. The assignments take days to complete and you don't learn anything, your just trying to find the right answers to questions that are ridiculously hard to solve.
