honestly, out of all stats prof in faculty of arts shes probably gonna be the best since she explain the lectures very simple and not a lot of complicated wording. just be prepared of doing lab every week and 2 heavy assignment
Just very bad. I took her got an F and then repeated the course with another prof and ended up getting a B. Just try to avoid her at all cost
Andie is great at teaching math courses. There's a lot of content to get through so show up to class because she explains everything well in lecture. She is always happy to help in office hours and makes sure you have access to other resources for help too. Friendly and cares about what she does! Read assignment directions carefully for good grades
Andie Noack is incredibly passionate about what she teaches, but as a creative-leaning student who struggles to understand math, it was easy to get confused and make small mistakes. Assignment feedback was brutal, she is NOT an easy marker. I recommend reaching out for extra help!
Content heavy course w/ labs, assignments, a midterm, and final project. Labs are due at 5pm, which can be inconvenient if you have a class after and haven't completed the lab. Try not to fall behind w/ labs and assignments as they're necessary in knowing how to complete the final term project. Make use of office hours as soon as you get confused.
Overall an okay prof. Her TA's are alright. This class is material heavy but that's all stats classes. There's assignments every week and due in the middle of the day which isn't convenient . Gives good feedback and is there to help when needed. Lectures are dry. But it's cool building in your research topic. Wouldn't necessarily take again.
There are very few points for each assignment, and there are a lot of assignment. It felt difficult to get high marks.
Andie is a very dry person. Indeed, this is the aspect I did not like the most about her. I mean, stats is dry itself, and I was not a fan of it anyway (that is why I study sociology). But I hoped to build some interest during the course. False hope! Nevertheless, you have to take 1-2 courses with her anyway. I pray that you like her style!
This is the second time I've had Andie for a stats class and she's great. I preferred this course to my previous stats course with her as it was a lot simpler to understand. This course relies heavily on written assignments, compared to other stats courses that depended on SPSS. Andie is very helpful if you're confused at all and the exam was easy
HONEST REVIEW: - hard course since its stats but she cares about you and wants everyone to do well - gives good feedback, replies fast and informatively, and gives extensions when needed - in class test was hard but if you study and come to class you will do alright - hard marker (or TA's) so go to tutorials and ask for help - BUY her TEXTBOOK!
