The material for this course is not even hard. His brutal approach of a few high mark questions and no opportunity for part marks on the exams is a quick way to tank your GPA if you made even the most minor of mistakes. Avoid if possible.
You can learn most of the content on Udemy or YouTube much more quickly than by sitting in a boring, three-hour lecture with Bobby. Unfortunately, his lectures are important because he helps to clarify concepts. Though I wish he could interact with his students more.
He just "talks" and leaves everything else up to the students. Lab instructions were vague and ambiguous at best. You only had a limited time to finish everything. Above all, he suffers from a superiority complex in that everything he says is "right".
Not a good professor at all. He may be smart, but he fails to connect with his students. In essence, he lacks the "student touch" of a good educator. I hope Ryerson finds someone else to teach this course fast.
I failed the first time but the second time I got A. I failed cz I skipped lectures and tried to self-study from the lecture notes! DO NOT DO THAT EVEN IF YOU HAVE GPA OF 4.33! he does examples and he explains them in lecture but not in the notes. Attend the lectures and be present. He might be a bit boring but you need to stay awake. Take notes!
He is one of the best Ryerson Computer Engineering professor. He is very knowledgeable and he really cares about his students. Never miss his lectures because the topics are very hard to go over by yourself. This is a very interesting and useful course.
Think accent, hard to follow, takes some students side. He refuses to hear any discussion. Rude to students. He doesnt allow negotiations. Definitely seek for help because the material is not related to the test or the exam. Wish there was another professor to teach this course although the course outline seemed interesting!!!
bad accent, tough grader, not easy to deal with, thick head, won't negotiate or discuss anything he thinks is right. there was no one else to give his courses!!!
There were always and only a few guys know how to do the labs. He teaches nothing about the labs. Good luck on your labs. Tests are ridiculously hard. Nothing like you learn from lecture. Hardest marker ever, no part mark. Terrible notes & lecture. Apparently, smart doesn't mean you can teach.
