She needs to learn how to give commentary on essays in a meaningful way so that students can improve. When I asked she asked if I want to have my paper "fully marked up". Extremely rude and unprofessional and is so determine to prove herself that she fails everyone.

Kerry's a demanding teacher, but brings as much as she asks for. Asked her to help me improve my essay skills -- she made me work like crazy, but it paid off.

She is fantastic. Smart and funny. I'm sure some of these comments are from students who simply did not do the work.

Awful. She strayed from the material, convoluted every reading, tried to impress us with absurd arguments, shot down people who spoke in class by shouting "analyze!" at everything they said, and had people read aloud like in grade school. Her marking scheme is ridiculous (and instead of acknowledging it, she blames the students.) NOT recommended.

This woman thinks that she is God's gift to humanity when she can't even teach herself out of a wet paper bag. She needs to learn how to appropriately mark or interact with students.

Difficult marker, yes. But read all those comments. If you do, your writing will improve. Fun and funny. She obviously loves what she does.

Best TA ever. Passionate and funny. High standards? Absolutely.

The other postings here are obviously from disgruntled students who wanted an "A" without working for it. Professor Manders DOES have hight standards, and that's what I want from a Professor. She is witty and engaging and 100% helpful if you express an interest in learning and improving.

She marked papers for this first year course as if she were marking 50 pg papers from Grad students. It is impossibel to please her because her expectations are too high! She is full of herself and claims to be "soft at heart" but really she is just full of poo! Drop out or switch if you get her.
