Luann Lafrenz

I LOVE LUANN

Although lecture heavy this class was so much fun! I went to see her outside of her office hours because my work schedule was so heavy and she still managed to see me and really helped me with my interview assignment. She also genuinely cared about my well being. Super caring prof!

LuAnn is a hoot! She's the instructor for the 3 hour intro to fashion lecture and is always kind and upbeat. Even if she's not your design teacher she's always willing to help and genuinely wants you to succeed. She's approachable and goes by the motto of "always be nice". Everyone loves LuAnn and for good reason!

LUANN IS SO GOOD. She's a little bit of a bore to listen to at times, but so so fun. She goes on long tangents about her love of wine, but is honestly just a really really good prof. She baked us rice crispies before our exam. Pure angel!

The most amazing teacher/ professor I have had EVER. seriously go back to JK and work your way up. There is NO ONE that compares. I feel so comfortable around her and asking her questions is so easy for me. She is truly a motivator and i wish i could go into more detail about how much of an impact her and her class has had on me

The only professor I had that was friendly and was willing to understand and have a conversation to improve on myself. She is always willing to connect with the students in some way like memorizing your name and adding funny comments that really reflect her personality and thoughts. Overall she is amazing and the definition of a teacher.

She is the best prof i had at Ryerson. She really does care about each student, and remembers them too! She is a fair grader and and even better person. No wonder she is one of the top design profs in toronto!!

Luann is enthusiastic when teaching, and tries to make a connection with each student even when teaching Intro to Fashion, a large lecture course. She's easy to talk to.

She. Is. The. Best. She is like a mother figure to first years because she loves them. I was on wits end with the INFAMOUS research paper and was so out of it that I missed the due date, and she let me hand it in still. BECAUSE she understands mental illness and is so great. Thank you, Luann, for letting me pass this class. 3

Absolutely amazing. the class in general is dry and you need the textbook to do well on the midterm and final but Lu Ann is the reason the class is good. she helps in all aspects and try to learn everyones names. respects your ideas and encourages expression. a must have for all first years.
