Great professor and very easy to get an A in his class. You only need to do ONE THING according to his instructions: "Follow the Course Outline, parameters, and assignment and exam instructions exactly as given and always submit your assignments and write your exams on the due dates." I have taken 3 of his courses: two A's & A- my best grades!
This course is pretty cool, only thing is that I found some other students clearly having issues as well. Super interesting modules but the prof is not teaching well and clearly does not mark well. He will give you okay marks and the next second basically do some tough marking. I noticed a few people dropping the course today in my class. - Ally
Hi! I wanted to start out by saying that it seems others are also dropping this course. The professor seemed nice and the feedback he provides can be good! I like it but also he is very strict and also unfair on some aspects of the course! He seems to be very experienced but not reachable, clearly cannot handle the course himself and unorganized!
I have taken every course this prof teaches CHST603/504/501 -- great prof with just one simple rule for getting B+s and As in his courses: "Follow course and assignment instructions EXACTLY AS GIVEN and submit your work on the due date." If you follow his instructions and submit work on the due date you are practically guaranteed a B+ or better.
Here is my problem. His class had four assignments, when I wrote the exam, he only had one marked. I wrote the exam without a midterm or essay mark, despite having a lot of time to mark them. I entered the exam with no idea of what marker he is and feel, had I been given feedback on the assignments, I could have gotten a better mark. Very Stressful
The professor is extremely knowledgeable about the subject. I enjoyed all lectures: he presented very unique material and excellent stories. His grading is not that hard as long as you follow the instructions. I hope more professors will be so much knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects.
The stuff you learn in his class is amazing.
Good Prof, teaches the lecture in a form of a story. Just make sure you take notes and you'll be set for midterm and final. He marks Essay's more lenient then other prof's you'd do your elective courses with, just make sure you follow his guidelines and you're good .. (History of The Third Reich)
I had Vronsky for History of Espionage, and I had him for another history class. He is first and foremost a gifted storyteller. It is clear that he is knowledgeable about his subjects, and he can be quite funny in a sly sort of way. Make sure you read the textbooks, and if you go to lectures, you will do fine. I would take his class again.
One of the best profs in Ryerson, he is very knowledgeable and interesting. I skipped a lot of classes in the past few years, but I never missed any of his class, it was just that GOOD. I don't think the tests are hard as long as you attend the classes for the most of the time, and you will be fine with an easy B+ or A-.
