Will not meet with students. Often replies with one word answers to emails. Changes course shells part way through the course. Expectations are not clear, and relies heavily on group work despite it being an online class. Content is interesting, but prof is a hard marker. She does provide clear feedback. I wouldn't recommend this course.
Actually this prof was good. When we posted online assignments biweekly she replied to every posts and explained the correct answers. She is a tough marker but wasn't ok compared to other prof. I guess everyone passed. In my opinion she is 7/10
She is “teaching” ethics but is the most unethical prof that I had. No online class meeting, no teaching, doesn't answer students' questions, always gives you wrong info. Final was writing a 5 pages essay required research and references which had to be completed in 3 hours. Leaving bad impression on so many students is not something to be proud of
I don't usually leave professor reviews, but not only is this prof a hard marker (doesn't gives above 85%), but she is also EXTREMELY disorganized. She often posts outdated materials from past classes, including incorrect essay instructions. These are mistakes students would be penalized for—it's honestly very lazy and unprofessional.
Dr. Moorhouse was a very hard marker. Feedback was not helpful, did not tell you how to improve for the future and can be unrelated to the question asked. Instructions and expectations for discussion posts and assignments were very unclear. She was also very hard to reach through emails and would often take her days to respond.
like other fellow classmates reviews, I found her instruction on assignments is vague. Also not very responsive to emails. The course content can be actually very interesting, but she always give passive comments and feedback to either discussion board or group assignments. We often feel discouraged. I DON'T recommend others taking this course.
This is by far the worst course I have ever taken. Her instructions are unclear for all assignments and tests. Her feedback does not relate to the material she is responding to. She has conflicting due dates everywhere. She also does not provide adequate clarification when asked. It is disappointing as the content is interesting.
very strict maker, but her instruction on assignments or discussion comment can be very vague. Won't take her courses again
Very surprised by the reviews. She cares about her students you just need to put the work in. While this course is required for nursing, remember that it is a philosophy course geared towards health care ethics and not a nursing theory course, know your philosophical principles and theories and be able to apply them and you will do great!
Midterm full of grammatical mistakes/unclear questions, heavily weighted assignment that I guarantee was marked last minute and not fully read, vague comments and 0 feedback on the actual paper, based on the philosophical discussion on nursing theory and graded under that criteria rather than critical thinking and ability to argue a premise. Avoid.
