Sally is very clearly passionate about her work and what she does. However, she tends to blab on for the entire lecture about things that have no relevance to the assignments, and she often hands classes of first year students difficult assignments that seasoned graphic designers struggle with, with little to no explanation.
Her assignment instructions are super unclear and all over the place, half the time I could never figure out what they were actually getting us to do.
Don't expect to learn anything of value toward your major from any of the courses taught by sally in your first year; they're a colossal waste of time that does little more than distract you from your actual journalistic courses. Sally's courses are more suited for a student pursuing a graphic design major than someone with an interest in news.
My fav prof! Loved her had her last semester and this sem. Her lectures are really engaging and all assignments I found to be really meaningful and helping for the future
I learned a lot of valuable skills from Sally, she brings in great guest speakers as well.
waste of time. easy highschool comtech assignments. and lectures full of "mental health matters" content with little substance. Was fine enough for a first year course. Second year really makes you realize how nothing this course is though.
Sally's assignments weren't too challenging and also fun! she responds to emails quickly and is very considerate.
The sweetest prof ever, she made first year easier for journalism students. She responds to emails quickly with kindness and good advice as well. Her assignments are easy to follow and score great on. Loved JRN 104 and 106!!
I really enjoyed Sally's class, she is great! really caring and understanding. Her lectures are quite boring although she does have some interesting things. As long as you follow the rubric, go to class, and do the work you will be fine. Easy class to get an A
Very easy class, easy to get good marks if you follow exactly what the rubric says to do.
