A bit passive aggressive and does not answer questions properly. She was an ok teacher lectures were helpful for evaluations especially the critical thinking questions at the end. Definitely attend her lectures she is great at explaining the concepts. However did not feel supported by her as she preferred the students who participated over others.
Sheilagh was such a kind and caring prof. She really went out of her way to make sure students were prepared and comfortable for the head-to-toe assessment. She gives you so many strategies on how to approach mcq and sata questions which was applicable to all the other courses. She really helped improve my critical thinking skills and confidence.
She is a very caring and appreciative prof. She tries her best to make learning accommodative to everyone. In terms of the course, I did not feel as though I learned many things from her directly. Most of the material is from what I have read on my own time. Many short quizzes that test critical judgement that are rather helpful once you realize it
The course is hard but she is really nice, she explains skills well and is very understanding
Sheilagh is the worst prof I've had so far. Her expectations are unclear and you're often left wondering what you did wrong. The paper was graded very hard and it was evident she spent minimal time grading each paper. Quizzes have the weirdest wording and the options all seem right. I thought the exam was fair, but the class average was 74%
The Professor does not directly answer questions. Rather, the Professor redirects you to look at the guidelines which often do not help. The scholarly paper was marked very hard. The pre-class quizzes were also quite difficult. Getting a high grade in this course is difficult.
I think Professor Sheilagh was great, I really learned a lot from her and you can tell she is passionate about trying to prepare us. This was one of the hardest courses for me and she is a tough grader but I think she did her best teaching a course that can be very dry and I appreciate it. I love hearing about her stories and she really tries.
She was a TOUGH grader and very picky about little things. She marked very hard on the scholarly paper which was worth 30% of your mark. Not very helpful. When someone would ask her a question in class, she would always say "refer to the guidelines." There are weekly quizzes you have to do which are annoying.
I tried to like her but I felt like she did not want her students to do well. EXTREMELY difficult grader, no sympathy for students, rude when asked questions. I had all my readings done before class yet I felt like I did not learn a single thing cuz of how hard the grading was. LOVED the content but she made me doubt myself. Scared 1st yr students.
She is an average professor at best. She is a very hard grader. There are weekly quizzes which half of the time are worded in a way which make me feel it is trying to trick me rather than test my knowledge. Expect a lot of select all that apply on the tests. I did not like how we had to do the quizzes on the readings before the lecture themselves.
