She's funny and she's kind and she genuinely wants you to know what you're doing in the field. She is easy to have a discussion with and her marking is fair and clear. You can do well if you prepare. Ask her questions during lab, she is super helpful. Even her lecture portion of lab was engaging, fun and helpful.
Cheryl is pretty nice. You should do the readings in advance but she does go over them as a class. Use the lab time wisely. Good luck :)
AWESOME NURSING PROFESSOR and LAB INSTRUCTOR EVER!!!! NSE221 was a breeze because of her.
I had her for NSE 111 labs. She is a great teacher but she also lacks in the ways she give us answers for questions especially for skills tests. I find that the lab times aren't enough to practice enough for skills tests. I would recommend her but be ready to not have clear cut answers to some of ur questions.
she's very passive aggressive! also a tough grader for labs.
Cheryl was definitely my fav prof this sem. She truly cares about her students and wants us to succeed, but it is only possible if you attend the lectures/labs and ask questions. I recommend sitting at the front! She loves small talk before class starts, and is super easy to engage with.
the type of person who you won't judge you for not knowing. even though she won't directly answer your questions (sometimes), she's answer them with probing questions to get you thinking. genuinely wants you to do good. loves engage with students in lab and demonstrations, so if you volunteer prepare to be a bit uncomfortable
2 major skills assessments, written midterm and final, and some oppurtunity for free marks. cheryl was the kindest prof i had this semester, really cares about teaching everyone in lab thoroughly. when it nears time for assessments, she is a bit indirect when it comes to answering questions, but wants you to succeed. rubrics are clear.
amazing professor to have in your first year, super sweet and tries to make the class mood happier with her jokes. She tries to give hints and helps for the skills test and exams
I loved her energy while she taught, and think that shes an amazing nursing professor to have. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience in her class, and she is very willing to help. Just make sure to arrive at lab with knowledge about what is happening and watch all the mosby videos prior to class. Her grading is pretty fair, so just study/listen.
