Anna Stranks

Omg. Never again. She would make changes to your work days before the deadline, then get mad you included her changes. Some students never got crits while others were at her desk for 30 minutes. She contradicted herself all the time and was always talking trash about other students, profs, and careers in general. NEVER AGAIN

Well, she makes assumptions about student all the time, but she ignores students' assumption about how they made a design decision, and her teaching method is poor, she teaches like that she is always right and student cannot challenge her.

Anna is a joy to have as a studio prof. She is extremely knowledgable and has her student's best interest in mind. She supports learning throughout all the stages of the course. She makes classes enjoyable and informative.

Anna is a talented and knowledgable interior designer although she often lacks in her teaching methods. She would often not give critiques in a timely order, leaving most students without guidance for weeks. Her critiques are logical, but they aren't very optimistic; little creative solutions are offered.

Although Anna really knows her stuff, at all times me and other classmates found ourselves waiting weeks before getting any help from her because she spent 30 minutes helping one student within a 2 hour class. She often would change and suggest changes to our floor plans a week before a project was due; stressing out a lot of students!!

Anna is the epitome of an extremely inspiring, knowlegeable, and positive instructor. Her critiques are clear, practical, yet pushed the envelope of creativity. She is without a doubt the best Interior Design Professor Ryerson School of Interior Design has had in the four years I've been registered. Her teaching standards should be legislated.

Anna is one in a million. Even though she is not teaching this year, she has given me countless hours of her time to help me work through a design problem. There are always people in the resource centre asking for her opinion and advice. A true professional that has years of experience in the industry. love her!
