comparatively easier prof. helps out with format of the exam. hard to get extra help outside of classroom from him. would recommend with caution: take good notes, validate, follow-up on unclear concepts and should do fine...and always do your homework.
Prof tells you prior to exams whats gonna be on it. Specific questions too. What else is there to comment on? Greatest accounting professor (find another acc prof who will spill out exams for you)
take 406 in the summer with either hurley or capelli. they make it a lot easier for you. hurley basically told us what was going to be on the final exam. nice guy too. just go to class, skim the chapters before class, and you will do just fine.
Midterm was easy, but exam was extremely difficult.
he is a really nice guy but he can be unprofessional at times...mid term is a breeze but the final was very difficult and he did not prepare us well enough for it. Overall I would recommend him but be careful when studying because many times he uses formulas and procedures that are different from what the book teaches
The final exam was very hard, be careful.
He is poor in teaching the concept and copys the mistakes from the solution manual.
This teacher is the easiest of all in accounting 406. He provides review classes the last two weeks. He goves part marks for all your effort even though if you do not get the final answer.
He held 2 extra classes to help students review for the final, so that says a lot! Sometimes shrugged off questions he didn't think were important, but otherwise a great prof. The textbook is TERRIBLE. I suggest you invest in Managerial Accounting by Weygandt, Kieso, etc, because it's MUCH clearer. It also has a study guide, which obviously helps.
I found he zeroed in on the key concepts and clarified the confusing areas. I like how he gave sample problem for each of the difficult areas of the course and you could use that sample as a model for future calculations. He also didn't bore you with boring power points that could be read in your own time.
