Excellent teacher. Very patient and thorough, and spends a lot of time making sure the students understand. A great choice when taking that first Spanish course.

Text Book is Mandatory, CD is good for practicing. Overall studying is required for this course.

She teaches with clarity & has a definite interest in her students success. She's willing to make alternate testing arrangements with those who have conflicts with work or want to get the final exam over with sooner. Comprehension of novel & constant revision of material is the key to success in the course. The course requires a lot more work.

Excellent Spanish professor, shes very patient for those who need more time to understand and she likes to play games in class to help us learn. Definitely study and do the "practice exams" within the text book before the midterms!!

Learning a new language can be fun if you've got the right prof and the right attitude. Prof. Figueroa is intelligent, helpful, and engaging. Yes you do have to study hard to get a good grade in this class but she's more than fair when grading your work. I'd recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Spanish.
