He is wonderful and very accommodating! Lectures can be a little dull since they are not needed for assessments (you have to prepare your own notes for the final term test through independent research). Still, the assignments are simple, the term test is open book, and he is very helpful when answering questions too. I loved this class!
Very easy prof. I will highly recommend.
The best professor at TMU! I took this course and BLG 351, and he was amazing, kind, passionate, and supportive. Follow his feedback, and you'll do well. It's a shame he won't be teaching anymore; he truly cared about his students. TMU doesn't deserve him!
Lots of independent learning since Gideon believes that textbooks are outdated the moment they're published. He's a bit of a scatterbrain but incredibly caring. He changed the assignments deadlines multiple times to accommodate the class. Midterm (40%), two assignments (20% each) and research proposal (20%). Would take another class w him again.
Not your typical course, it emphasizes independent learning. Basically a course which'll tell you if grad school is something you should do. Course was broken down into 2 assignments + 1 case study, all relying on individual research (also make sure you're good at writing), and a straightforward final with no surprises. Stress-free prof, take it.
Dr. Wolfaardt's water quality class is like an independent research class however he gives us all the material we need to succeed. He tells us exactly what we need to know for the tests during lecture so don't miss it! He doesn't trick us in any way and is a fair grader. Two assignments, case study, and midterm. Would recommend!
This a professional Biology course I highly recommend students take with Gideon. 2 research items, 1 case study essay, and 1 midterm with no final. Gideon provides all the materials you need to study, adjusts due dates when things get hectic, and from what I found, he's a fair marker. Truly one of Ryerson's best. Highly recommend it.
He gives you everything you need to do well - no surprises. He tells you possible questions that will be on the term test throughout the semester so you have the time to prepare answers with his lecture notes as a guide and additional research to elaborate on the topics. Would highly recommend taking one of his classes if you have the chance to!
He is a true man of this word. God sent
