Tuna Baskoy

Dr. Baskoy is a very knowledgeable and caring professor. He was super accommodating when it came to assignments and extensions. However, he is a bit dry at times in lecture, marks tougher than I expected, and takes forever to answer emails and grade assignments and tests.

He's sweet and very accommodating, which is probably why I don't give him a 1. Other then that, he takes a very long time to mark things, which makes me question if he cares about teaching. Also takes awhile to respond to emails.

When I read the comments here, I see people calling him caring for students but I do not find this comment very accurate since when you ask him questions, her can not give an appropriate and useful response. He can ignore your emails for weeks!!!

Tuna is an extremely unorganised prof; you will see plenty of mistakes in his slides that he can't fix even though he goes over these slides every semester. His team of TA's is not helpful at all, in terms of, if you would try to ask a question, you will NEVER get a response back, only something like "do how you feel" (so basically 0 help).

Tuna is a sweetheart, he truly cares about his students and does his best to make sure each and everyone of them understands the criteria, he tries to make it fun because he knows the content is boring especially for an 8am class! Would definitely recommend! Assignments and tests are clear and he is available for any extra help!

Stats is hell, but Tuna makes it bearable. He is a sweetheart who really wants students to do well and he tailors the course to maximize understanding. He makes it so the group assignments weigh more so you have a chance to do well. Do the practice questions, study in groups, take advantage of the competent T.A.s and you'll be fine. Tuna rocks!

Tuna is an excellent Prof! He is very knowledgeable and enjoys what he teaches. He genuinely wants his students to do well and he is always available and willing to help. He responds to emails quickly and provides helpful feedback. He also has a great sense of humour! Overall just a really great prof!

He's super nice and knows his stuff for the class. But the assignments blow and he doesn't give much clarity when it comes to the assignment.

VERY NICE GUY. You can't help but love him. He genuinely wants you to do well. Unfortunately he tends to speak in an unrelenting monotone which can turn you off. But all the info you need is in the slides and as long as you attend class he'll make you understand what it means. Available for help and will give it if you ask. Good marker.
