Go to lectures and make sure you are on top of the course material. You will need to do lots of self-study to understand the course material. Prof doesn't respond to emails so you'll need to figure out how to navigate the course on your own. At least all the assessments and project are easy.
It really is a wonder how TMU (formerly known as Ryerson) has given jobs to some people. Laziest professor in the entire MIE, he would never respond to any of your emails and never released grades for some assessments. His lectures are awful and you cannot understand him at all. Does not use a reference text and has the worst notes I have ever seen
People tend to love this guy because he gives easy tests/exams. The material he presents in class is very simple. He's very disorganized, his slides are terrible and communication is hard with him(email). Make sure to do exactly as he shows in class else he takes off marks (unjustly). Overall the course felt like a waste of time. Avoid if you can.
Great and caring prof, always interested to dive into engineering topics with you. If you are interested in something, he is a good person to talk to when you can catch some time! Don't skip class, trust me!
Great prof Cares for students Fair and simple exams
Proffessor Siyuan is a good proffessor, he is very kind and his class as a whole is well organized and is an overall good experience. However, his lecture notes are horrible and dissorganized, and take a while to get through. I personally had a tough time with his accent too. Overall decent proff.
Fair exam and good notes. Projects are fun, and he also makes reports and labs bearable.
He's a nice prof, very helpful with the project. Fair exams. Lecture notes are not clean and organized.
Very reasonable and helpful guy. The course material is very easy and he make straightforward tests. There isn't any textbook for the course so his notes are the key ans should be more than enough to get good marks. The project is little hard. Overall a very nice experience. PS: He gives a lot of theory question as well so read the notes carefully
