The professor feedback isn't very clear. Only one assignment for the whole semester and took too long to return the grade. When the grade was finally received it felt like she rushed through the marking process. I could challenge the mark but what's the point since she's taking a sabbatical for a research project. Not a good experience with her.
Dr. Silver is by far the best professor at TMU! Genuinely cares about her students and goes above and beyond to make you understand the content if you are having difficulty! Dr. Silver even asked me if I wanted a reference from her! I was scared about both research classes but she made me love research!! Doesn't get any better than Dr. Silver!
Best teacher at TMU in my opinion so far that I have seen. Susan is very caring, fair, and flexible! She makes you like and understand research!!
Prof. Silver is a gem and if you can get into her sections, you should! There is no snobbiness from her despite her many years in teaching and her academic achievements. She takes time to review with students when content gets confusing. She is fair and clear and good at teaching
I took Dr. Silver for two semesters and absolutely loved her. She is very knowledgeable and is caring towards students, really wants students to understand and like research. Take her as if possible!
Takes the time to answer all questions and concerns, really wants students to do well and to like research. Quiz content is directly from the slides, cannot do well on quizzes without going to lectures. Big group project which is long but worth the experience if you are interested in masters. Purposely took Susan again next semester for part 2!
Susan is a real gem. She's so sweet and cares about all of her students. Takes time to get to know her students and checks in frequently (which isn't something many profs do). She's very knowledgeable and gets you thinking more deeply about social work practice and what it means to engage in social work.
Susan is a really good prof. Her lectures are not the most engaging, but she covers all the material well. Assignments are relevant and well explained.
Very good prof- knows her stuff. really interesting professional experiences should talk about them more.gets you really thinking about the many ways to be a social worker not only front line direct practice.
