Andrew O'Malley is honestly one of my fav profs. He was extremely kind and understanding. His lectures were engaging and very interesting. You can tell he cares about his students and enjoys teaching. He was an easy grader but there are a lot of readings for this class. Overall, I would 100% recommend this course with Andrew.
One of the best profs at TMU. His lectures are thorough and informative! Highly recommend.
An amazing Professor and an even more AMAZING human being. He is how a professor should be towards their students. Wonderful class. Definitely recommend taking a course with him.
An amazing Professor and an even AMAZING human being. I would definitely recommend taking his class.
O'Malley is great! This is my second class with him. He is very passionate about what he teaches, he gives clear assignments and good feedback. He does recaps at the beginning of each lecture which are extremely helpful for remembering the content & are great if you miss a class since his slides aren't useful without notes.
O'Malley is the best prof that I've had at TMU. I am disabled and he's so accommodating, esp because the AAS doesn't do a great job at acco. me. He goes above and beyond to ensure you are keeping up, allowing lots of time to submit assignments and will gladly meet with you. Group participation is important to attend, but he is acco. about that.
O'Malley is definitely the best professor I've ever had. He's clear, passionate, and a fair grader. I've taken four courses with him and always gotten a good mark; he's probably my favourite professor I've had since starting at TMU. You won't regret taking a course with him!
It's like someone forced him to be there and do his job. I guess a pro about taking ENG 222 is that he spends the first hour reviewing the previous week's lecture. If you miss class, don't have a friend to help you, or skip class often, GOOD LUCK because he doesn't post lecture material. He gave feedback once LOL.
I don't know what other people are talking about from 3 yrs ago. I went into this course looking at this prof's good ratings. All readings have to be done ahead of class. All of his notes are in person. He can be critical of student's answers to his questions in his 3 hour lectures. And he makes weird comments. I regret taking this class.
Clear lectures, easy to follow along, makes harder concepts very understandable. Clear assignments and equally clear feedback on what to improve on. If you miss a class be sure to at least attend the following week for the recap. Weekly group discussions for participation marks. Overall, easygoing, straightforward prof. I hope to get him again!
