Hard to understand. Class would be better if she would go though tougher examples instead of mostly doing basic questions. Repeats herself a lot. Probably have to do a lot of self-learning in her class.
Very hard to understand and she tests on materials not covered
She is a somewhat nice lady who knows her material. Her midterm and final are extremely brutal. The questions look easy but they'll drive you insane, Read the book and do the practice problems and you're guaranteed a C or more. This course destroys your GPA so unless you have a friend or accountant to help you, be prepared to fail.
A lot of content to go over in each chapter, so she skips some details. Midterm and final were fair. Study from textbookpowerpoint and do the practice questions. In lecture, it is a little confusing because english is not her first language.
I think Rye owes me a refund. This prof is rude, degrading and starts to yell when you ask her a question calmly. You can barely understand her. Worst part? She refused to change my mark when I told her she marked my exam wrong because "it had no significant impact." But that wasn't for her to decide. Oh, yes, she agreed that my answer was right.
Tough course. Poor textbook. Good practice assignments online. Decent professor but tests challenging. Hard marker as well. Tries to push you hard but skips key details(as chapters are long) and lets you on your won. Her class is all power point (which is helpful tbf) and instructor's solution manual that she refuses to share in class.
She is a very good professor and if you ask her questions and put in the effort, you will learn more from her. And don't just rely on her lectures. Read the textbook and do all the practice questions you can because the midterm and final questions resemble them. Ask questions and take proper initiative if you want to do well in her course.
She's not a bad prof in general. She will help you when you ask her and she will try to explain it as clear as possible. Her accent is hard to understand at times but overall, her tests are fair and she gives part marks even if the answer is wrong.
AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!SAVE 500+ and get a better grade in another section!
Many students in the Ryerson Business school have very poor background in Mathematics. I do not understand why they can student an accounting program. You can imagine how hard they could understand what she taught in class. I think Dr. Liu is a good teacher, though I worked so hard and got a B+!
