He does nothing & adds no value to this course, might as well not be there. TAs mark everything & he doesn't oversee/supervise effectively, leading to bonkers inconsistencies between sections. Everyone's confused & pissed yet he remains lukewarm about everything & does not take charge properly, appeasing to his TAs at the expense of students.
He doesn't actually do anything in class. He also does none of the marking. How fun this class is depends on the weekly guest speakers, the moderator, and your TA. He does make the rubrics, but they are entirely different in the course outline and the individual assignment rubrics. Every class had students requesting clarifications. +Weekly quizzes
Asher does not lecture LAW722, he moderates discussions with guest lecturers who are very prominent business/legal leaders. The course has 6 reading summaries (500 words), 8 reflection papers (750 words), weekly questions due, participation, a presentation, as well as a final paper. It's a lot of work but it's very easy work. Very easy to get an A.
Asher does not actually lecture in LAW722, the class is based on guest lectures, you get to listen to very prominent people speak. The course has reading summaries (500 words every week), reflection papers (500 words every week), you have to submit a question to every guest, participation, and a presentation, as well as a final based on the guests.
I am surprised that alot of people gave him a bad rating. He is by far the best prof I have had at Ryerson. He is far, clear and if you do the reading, you will succeed in this class.
He is an amazing Professor. He challenges the students (which every Prof should do) yet he is super helpful if needed. Yes the course is a bit challenging if you are a Business major, but read the text, make good notes and contribute to the discussion board. If you are stuck on something, he is more than willing to help.
I am doing business management certificate on-line courses. This is my 5th exam and by far, the hardest one. The final exam was very hard and very tricky! 50 cases and 10 true or false questions. Not enough time to read the cases. It seems like professor wanted many to fail.
The course content is very interesting. However, the problem is Prof Alkoby. It is obvious this man has never seen the inside of a courtroom let alone practised law. Do not believe any comments regarding his supposed academic intelligence either. He has difficulty interpreting case precedents and applying them to legal scenarios.
He is a crazy logical and smart guy. Just listen for his hints ( he is bad for them)and just repeat everyting he says word for word on the exam and you will get an A
