Paul Moore

I took the course SOC105, the course was offered online so I attended every lecture and it paid off. Took notes and did all the readings. If you do the work and put in effort you'll most likely receive marks in the high 80's. Textbook was free and course lectures were posted. Only a mandatory tutorial every Monday so super light.

I had professor Moore for SOC105 for the first time this semester. He was very caring and kind as well as patient whenever someone was ever confused about the course's instructions. His grading level is more on the stricter side but if you follow the rubric it's easy to get a good mark. Overall, my fav prof so far as a first year!

he's very nice and is a prof that you can ask for clarification and he's more than happy to help. very flexible with the grading criteria. we decided to change some things up as a class. provides good feedback and the course was pretty decent. class can be useful for post-grad applications if you pay attention and actually try.

reviews are super decisive and i cant speak for everyone but he was just okay. he didnt come across as an a$$hole nor was he the most friendly person ever. he simply existed. he probably gets a bad wrap bacsue of some stats courses but 490 with him was easyyyyyyy as hell

Professor Moore is a nice person and accessible outside of class, his marking is horrible in some classes and phenomenal in others. Still a great professor and you should take his classes.

good prof and very easy class. sometimes he is not super clear with instructions, but with a class like this i guess thats the point? but ya an overall good prof

the reviews are super divisive but ive had paul before and hes always been a decent prof. i wasnt sure on how a capstone course would work but it was super easy and the material was very approachable. also your okay if you dont show up to every class...lol

such a king, really getting me through my last 2 years and i've never felt so comfortable with a prof before. so sweet and his courses aren't ever too bad, as long as you put the effort in and take his advice you're good. he's kind bc that's just who he is!

Professor Moore is very helpful, caring, and accommodating. He is also accessible outside of class and responds promptly via email. For anyone reading, stay up to date with course modules, and you will do just fine.
