Absolute W of a prof. He does sometimes go fast during his lab demos, but if you ask him to go over it again he will gladly do so. Very sweet and nice guy, grading isn't tough, rubrics are easy to understand. Just have to show up to lectures/labs to do good in the course.
GOD'S gift of a course. If u like to learn about photoshop and want a bird course, yes this is it, I have been pissed off so many times about bird courses that people claim BUT THIS ONE IS A REAL ONE, I promise. Take it if u have a chance, its also a good skill to have too.
Rich is an amazing prof! Super compassionate when grading his students and always ready to help. He is responsive when communicating, especially through email too. Would definitely take another course with him.
Honestly, he is the definition of a caring professor. He really goes out of his way to help his students understand the work we are assigned. The course may be quite difficult but having Richard as the prof makes it possible to feel some weight being lifted from your shoulders as he will do all thats possible to help you.
Took him for a summer intensive course. He's very kind and patient, especially when students don't answer his questions when he opens a discussion (LOL WHOOPS) but he answers his own questions anyways. Just an interesting and useful course with a nice prof! He would gladly go over a few things again in lab if you ask, he's very nice about it!
He is a real great prof. You can see he truly cares about the students and the course, and he is passionate. He is amazing and never gets annoyed when you ask questions, he is very helpful and he makes everything fair. Would definitely recommend, he overall has an amazing attitude towards the course and teaching us.
A real gem! So nice and caring. Never seems annoyed when you ask for help or clarification. He really listens and answers all of your questions. His labs he goes through the test procedures and then you generally get the rest of the lab to work on.
he's a wonderful person, super nice and helpful
He's generally a nice guy. He always tries to listen to students' concerns. If a student has a problem on his/her assignment, he will do all he can to help. His voice is very soft and is hard to hear though. You will have to tell him to speak up. Most of the lab sections were work periods and lectures were basically recapping what happened in lab.
