Chris Gore

He is respectful, and his lectures are interesting, but you can never get an A+. It seems he grades you, not your work and if you get a B+ once, all of your other marks will be B+, no matter what you do. There is no rubric, and he just gives you a handful of points as proof of your grade. You never know what to improve. I had a graduate course.

He is one of the nicest professors I have had at TMU and is very passionate about what he teaches. He is very straightforward and intelligent when it comes to lectures and he gives clear guidelines on what he wants on his assignments.

Such a thoughtfully put together course. Take it if you have genuine interest in the subject, it is so worthwhile. Gore strips away a lot of unnecessary academic expectations and is very relaxed, but you still need to be engaged in content to do well. Presents really interesting content and invites conversation. Cool guests and field trips.

Dr. Gore is a great professor who's class is extremely interesting and informative. While attendance is not mandatory, a lack of consistent use of D2L can make looking for materials somewhat difficult. He is very understanding and offers very helpful feedback despite not using GAs. I would highly recommend this course or him as a professor any day!

Prof. Gore delivers excellent seminar lectures. He takes extremely niche topics and is able to blow them up to being relevant to other course work and life in general. He prescribes a lot of reading but the selections are well curated and interesting, even if you don't always have time to go through them all. Would recommend every class offered.

Dr Gore is great. Would take his class again. I just recommend doing all his tasks and pay attention to his lectures to get a good grade. Tutorials were tough in terms of grading though.

Dr. Gore somehow makes what seems like a boring subject really interesting! His lecture style is very engaging, and he does a great job of connecting the lecture topic to current events and making you care about the topic. Excellent professor, very knowledgeable, and communicates well.

Prof. Gore is an engaging and insightful professor with real world experience relevant to the classes he teaches. Participation was marked but not mandatory and there were many manageable components to our grade throughout the year. The readings and lectures were thankfully relevant to graded material but the readings were not lengthy and engaging.
