She's an overall friendly person but the readings are kind of much. If you read the textbook and take notes, you'll be pretty prepared for the quizzes. It's more music based than film instead of music AND film. She teaches more music terminology (and music in general) than film and the films chosen in the class for the essays weren't that great.
Although the class started out with a quiz worth 20%, it was worth staying in the class because the essays were marked easily
really awesome course. I learned a lot already. Actually learned at university--whoaa. Seemed a bit hard at first, then got the hang of it. Really well organized course. Other prof's section has no essay tho..Cool prof
Course seemed hard at first, but got it figured out after a few classes in, and then it was awesome! Really dedicated teacher who is passionate about her material. Very knowledgeable and inspires students to really learn. True, not a bird course, but actual real learning. Love this prof
I joined her class a week after school had began and missed one lecture. The next class we have a quiz worth 20% of our mark...she smiled as people left the room like it was her plan all along.
The worst teacher I've ever encountered - specifies that we need no prior knowledge of music then refuses to post notes or pause even for a second to take questions. Not sure she comprehends how people learn
Went to her class the first day and the first thing she said was "this is not a bird course, please leave now if you were looking for one". Was going through the notes at the speed of lightning, had no passion for the course at all! I have no clue why she was rushing... half the class got up and left
Need to study your notes hard for tests. It's an easy course just a little bit of ambiguity in the tests.
