prof alex is really nice and sweet but the course for me was really boring. she's super nice and sweet. just don't think philosophy is my kind of thing
Prof was great, I just don't like philosophy! There were 2 tests, a paper, and a group presentation. Tests were online (open book) and presentation was a pass or fail, so show up for the marks. Tests are essay style, typically 2 questions each. Final test was centred around your paper, so was pretty easy overall!
Readings aren't needed when the prof goes through all the important information. The guidelines and rubrics are very long, but mostly just for clarification. Easy to get a B+ to A, but hard to get an A+.
Wonderful professor. Class content is easily accessible to students from other depts, 11/10 would take again
Awesome professor, she genuinely cares about her students and will go over any questions or things that might be unclear. She creates a welcoming environment for lots of discussion, which is crucial in philosophy and really benefited me. The only downside is that her lectures can be a bit boring and long, lasting the full 3 hours.
Professor Wellington is super kind and understanding to the circumstances of all of her students. Whether it be through all of her lectures being uploaded to D2L in detail or proper breakdowns of assignments, a lot of the stuff she teaches is easily digestible. Overall, if you are looking for a clear prof with decent upside, I would recommend her!
Really. kind and passionate about the topics. The class consisted of reading responses, a presentation, and 2 essays. For the presentation, she offered accommodation which is great because I hate presenting in front of an audience. The papers were graded fairly, but she marked the reading responses hard. Overall, she's an amazing prof!
Professor Wellington taught philosophy in a way that is accessible to people who are not philosophy majors. All her assignments and tests had extremely clear outlines and even gave hints on what she expected to see in her assessments. She wants her students to succeed and provided supplemental notes for those who are not always available to attend.
She can be a bit of a tough marker, but man is she super accommodating. She is clear in what she asks of you for papers and tests, and is very helpful. Would take again.
She will go down as one of my favourite professors. She was so caring and understanding throughout the whole semester. Lectures were very clear and easy to understand. She gave an extension to the whole class for our essays and ensured that the class average for every class was sitting at a B. She truly wanted everyone to succeed.
