I truly don't remember learning much from Abby and have only been yelled at by her. I'm sad to see that the person who created this program is creating the most problems.
Excellent instructor. Challenging material. Large class size (200?) bit she still managed to relate to us as individuals.
I've read the comments posted by others and have to say they do not represent my experience in this class. Dr. Goodrum is an excellent instructor and went out of her way to help me with the material.
I had Professor Goodrum for Research Methods. She was extremely approachable and commendably efficient and succinct as a teacher/mentor. Her analogies for research questions "gas cloud" were very fun. I will carry the knowledge she imparted on to all my future research endeavors.
Regardless of what she had to teach, Goodrum was able to get her point across. Sure, much of what we were taught in I&V many may have known, but we were also given many places to find info that we would not have known about otherwise. Also, simply because 'you' knew all of that, it doesn't mean that everyone knew how to find all that information.
totally useless class, absolute waste of time and money, bad teacher, bad TAs, sleep-inducing 2 hour lectures about using google
The material was pointless, learned very little that I didn't know before. Our TA was decent, and Dr. Goodrum seemed all right at first, but she became increasingly (and openly) apprehensive as the semester progressed. It's an easy class, but the final project was a pain, and overall I would much rather have been able to sleep in Monday mornings.
Prof. Goodrum knows her stuff. Wish I'd had a class like this when I was getting my first degree.
I thought Abby was very nice and helpful -- but the class could have been tougher.
