start labs early as they are very long
Reads directly from pre-made notes/slides. Does not EVER write on the board or work through problems step-by-step. Goes through concepts very fast and is difficult to understand. Teaching style is extremely passive there is no active learning. Exams/Tests Difficult. There a difference between being knowledgeable, and being a good TEACHER.
She is the 3rd year final boss. The other reviews sum it up.
The problem with Dr. Beheshti's running of the course is that the only source of information of the content is her own handwritten slides. This is horrendous because she goes off the textbook. On top of that, the slides provided are complex, hardly legible and riddled with mistakes. Course is much harder due to her being the person running it.
Most horrendous lecture slides you'll come across in your degree at TMU, exams aren't difficult but she makes them very lengthy so its always a race against time. She also said we're the worst class she's ever seen, yet didn't provide exam breakdowns or sample problems to help.
If u see her teaching just take it next sem or make sure to go to lectures cuz her notes are chicken scratch (no joke they are very really hard to understand)
Not sure why the ratings are so low. She's a pretty reasonable prof as long as you stay on top of her lecture notes and practice the problems she recommends. I found her office hours helpful
just don't. she talks so fast, but goes nowhere. her notes are handwritten projected on the screen. might as well read the textbook at that point. her exams are tough.
She hates students that don't go to lectures. If you try to learn concepts off of youtube, she'll be able to tell. Idk if that's just her being caring or being harsh, just go to the lectures for this course! Personally, didn't find the lecture slides easy to understand all the concepts. Not very interesting lectures either.
Her midterm and final were pretty fair, though the quizzes were on the harder side. She is caring and loves answering questions but she struggles to clearly convey lecture material and her lectures are not that useful
