Typical Ryerson BS...a great teacher comes and goes and the CRAPPY ones stay! Where is Brian Gordon and why is he not teaching at Ryerson?
had him last summer, and seeing many people struggle in this course, made me rate him. He was the BEST cfin 401 teacher, what he teaches is what you see on the tests. Too bad he's not teaching at ryerson anymore.
Course design for 401 doesn't make any sense. Bunch of scrambled data. Finance department sucks. All some scrambled stuffs. I found the course outline is intense and covers a boneless stuff. I mean these is no proper instruction, no clear demonstration. All you may have bunch of scattered chapters, weird clueless maths and brain twisters.
He gave me the best mark ever in my university life. He is patient and helpful even to slow learners like myself. Ryerson needs to hire more finance profs like this one.(and hire Brian Gordon for Full time and give him more courses to teach) Because he actually likes his job and he has experience in the field.
Hands down the best professor I have ever had. This guy is awesome, he knows what he's talking about, doesn't try to screw people over and makes the class enjoyable. If you have to take FIN401 take it only with him. But don't expect a walk through, it's a tough course and you need to study.
one of the best profs. very nice guy, takes time to explain problems thoroughly and ensures everyone understands. really cares about his students!
I heard that this prof was easy that is why I took the class, but it turned out to be a lot of work. but,it is a University course, that is to be expected. Not a good choice for a GPA booster.
The class was a lot more difficult than expected, I would recommend studying hard, and read the book and do the questions inside out.
