Don't listen to these negative critiques... Jan is lovely and she only appears firm and strict when students are being idiots! Her lectures are clear and as long as you study, you will do great! She pretty much gives you an outline of the exam the class before!
this prof does not put a lot of effort into teaching this course and it shows. some assigned readings were missing from course text which was expensive. she makes everyone do group presentations for the second half of the course so she only has to organize lectures for the first few weeks. would not recommend.
Attendance is crucial. Miss a class you will be lost. It is not a hard course to grasp but you need to be there to get a good grade.
She swore at us...the F word...and told us we were going to fail. She marks hard and doesnt give you a fair mark for the amount and quality of your work.
she thinks shes so good because she has phd.. u have to do presentation, in class assignment, essay + outline just for a intro criminology liberal course. will not recommend it
A bit to disorganized, her lectures were all over the place.
Really good. Very interesting. Really cool person. I enjoy her classes
gorgeous, brilliant and funny - what else is there?
excellent prof - totally cool and really approachable. Changed my perspective. Readings were integrated into assignments so you have to do the readings to do the analysis stuff. Really funny in lectures.
