Dr. Viirre made this course very enjoyable. I learned a lot from him regarding presentation skills too. Highly accommodating and always in a good mood!

Dr. Viirre was a great prof to run the thesis course. He was very accessible and caring, always being there for students and accommodating needs. Majority of the course is graded by your PI, but Dr. Viirre did grade a few of our assessments and was not tough on it. He made the thesis course being ran online very smooth and enjoyable.

Dr. Viirre is one of the most incredible professors I've had. He makes understanding organic chemistry and natural products much easier than it really should be. Highly recommend taking his class if you can.

Best professor at Ryerson. I am so bad at organic chemistry but he made me get a decent grade in this course. Love him.

He is a great prof. Has good lecture notes, and has lots of assignments to keep you on track. Apply yourself and you will soar in his class!

Overall, a very good professor. His style is clear and straight to the point, something I enjoy out of a prof. His notes are quite useful, as I don't miss important points he makes. He's also very helpful when I have trouble with certain concepts. He helped me understand organic chemistry, one area I've always had trouble understanding in the past.

He is GREAT!!! A brilliant professor. His notes are amazing, he's extremely helpful and knowledgeable! His tests and exam are long and hard, but if you understand the material and you studied hard - you will do good!!!
