HE'S THE BEST PROF I'VE EVER HAD!! A REAL GEM, NOBODY WILL LIVE UP TO HIS GREATNESS AS AN ECONOMETRICS PROF :)
Attempts to teach economics without numbers, only equations. No useful application of anything and his test ended up being insanely hard because it did have application. Incoherent for the most part and don't seem to know what he's talking about. You're better off buying the book and reading it instead of wasting time in class.
His class is a waste of time. He even sometimes gets confused while teaching. It's only a second year course that he makes harder than fourth year courses.
He puts in the effort to teach, but overall isn't very good. You need to be able to learn on your own if you want a good mark because he's not that helpful, only tells you to look for help on Blackboard. Hard to follow his lesson because of his thick accent. Review notes are good. TA marks midterms. He marks final exam hard.
wayyy to hard for an elective course! if you're just taking this course for ur PR, DONT! its intense! crazily hard! more stressed out than my core courses! he is helpful but the materials are just too hard for students!
Caponi is a really good prof. He knows his stuff, but sometimes has a hard time explaining it clearly (some of the jokes are hard to follow too =) The class content is intense, and you have to study ALOT for the midterm, know your problems and graphs, same for the final. But he also gives out bonus marks, which helps.
Great guy, has a good sense of humor, and will help you if you ask. Class can be boring and difficult at times, but that’s because it’s not the easiest material to absorb. He can confuse the class at times with the large equations, so just make sure you can do his reviews, ask him for clarification on what you don’t understand, and you will do fine
really nice guy, tries hard to impart his knowledge, but if u don't understand his accent, u'll have a hard time. but i give him an A for effort, he's ncie and he tries. very easy marker and piece of cake exams
Midterms/exams are amazing, in that he gives you the questions and answers a couple of days before the actual test date. Problem is, you'll learn little to nothing. Speaks with a heavy accent, and it doesn't help that the material is pretty advanced. Overall, he's not that bad. I still got an A, but was hoping for an A+.
