She encouraged us to be as creative as we can. I learned so much in her classes. She's super knowledgable and while the course might be time consuming, she encourages you to make something portfolio worthy.

Had her for Surface Design. I had a difficult time understanding the tasks. Instructions were unclear for assignments, caused quite a bit of confusion. Considering the grade is built on assignments, this was a big issue.

Such an inspirational professor that truly showed she respected her students. My favourite course and professor at TMU. She really made learning enjoyable and engaging. The grading mattered on your engagement and passion for the work and she made a great environment to foster that passion.

Colleen is one of my favourite professor in TMU, she is talented and creative, I really learn a lot from her, I enjoy every workshop lecture and having a lot of fun during the class. However, she is an excellent professor does not mean she is an easy grader, you need show you passion in your project and also your inspiration and creative.

The best prof I've had at Ryerson! Colleen connects with each student in illustration and grades based on individual improvement, not expecting everyone to be at the same level. She is so genuine and urges us to take care of ourselves. She is talented and knows what she is talking about. I've learned many new techniques from her this semester!!

She's super inspiring and wants to help you become a better creative individual. Always read her notes when she marks your work, it'll help you understand what you have to improve on.

She cares so much about the success of her students - whether or not you come from an illustrative background doesn't matter. She will make you a better artist. Colleen is a good human.
