Very kind and knowledgeable. always felt warm in her class and I could tell she really cares about what she teaches
Professor Carson is clearly passionate about what she teaches, and it made me feel passionate about the course material as well. She is very kind and easy to talk to, and will absolutely make time to hear what you have to say, especially if you need help with the course or the assignments. Her slides are detailed and clear. She's a great prof. :)
She's so awesome, i learned so much. She is super understanding and gives great feedback and is lenient in marking. Her lectures are genuinely interesting and inspiring she knows exactly what to teach that will keep her class engaged. Tutorial was fun! Love her, I wish i could take her classes next semester:(
She is the sweetest most caring professor ever! She is understanding and truly cares about her students, though the finals or essays may seem difficult, she is always kind enough to lend a helping hand for a students success, and will always ensure you are prepared for midterms and the final.
Such an amazing prof who really cares about her students. You can tell she is passionate about what she's teaching which makes the material all the more interesting. Definitely recommend.
Professor Carson is an amazing professor! I really enjoyed HST526 with her and learned a lot as a non-history major. This is definitely a class you should attend to be prepared for exams and tutorials, but her lectures are also interesting, which makes you want to attend class as well. I wish I had taken a class with her sooner!
Excellent prof. Very clear on what you expect for tutorials, essays, and tests. I would absolutely recommend taking a class with her!
Amazing! One of the sweetest human beings I've ever met. Really wants her students to succeed and will help!
Dr. Jenny Carson has to be one of my favourite profs tbh. She is very accommodating and cares a lot for her class. The class itself grades based off 2 exams (midterm and final), a research essay, and 3 tutorials worth 15% total. You don't have to have any prior knowledge of American history (although it helps) because she goes through everything.
Professor Carson is kind and understanding. You're graded on 3 seminars, a midterm, an essay, and a final exam. Seminars are easy, as she provides questions in advance and grades leniently. Both the midterm and the final are straightforward. While her lectures mainly involve reading slides, she is highly engaging. If you can, take her class!
