Please be cautious if are taking this prof. He did not post lecture notes, the midterm was much harder than expected, and email responses took about a week. He described the midterm as straightforward, yet the class average was under 40. Avoid him if you can
He posts no lecture/slides on D2L. What he teaches in class is vastly different from exams. Comes off as very pretentious and rude in class and online, very difficult marking for exams. He made the course much more complicated than it needs to be. If possible, take this with Dimitri for a much more pleasant and enjoyable course.
He posts no lecture notes or recordings, very tough grader on exams, very different questions from his slides/homework on exams. He makes the content much more difficult than it should be, and extremely difficult for no reason. Take this course with Dimitri if possible, it'll make this course much more enjoyable and easier.
I thought he was pretty chill, doesn't upload slides or lectures but it is what it is. He does seems to care about his students and is welcoming!
Dr. Alirezaie is honestly a chill guy. Everything he says, he means it, he said his final exam would be straight from the slides, and he was right, just the most obscure stuff. He's kinda bad at explaining things, but he's very responsive to questions and will let you take pictures of his notes if you just ask. Course is still super hard though.
seems to care about students but really doesnt. doesnt post lecture notes, the examples etc are all directly from the textbook nothing new in the lectures. low quiz averages but was like I made the test fair its ur fault. said if 90% of the class fails he doesnt care study more.
No lecture notes or recordings provided at all, so if you have to miss a lecture and don't have contact with someone in his class who attends his lectures then you're screwed. Doesn't solve enough example problems to compliment all the theory he teaches. It seems like he does care for students but makes the course much harder than it has to be.
Awful professor, avoid at all costs. He doesn't post any lecture notes, slides or solutions to anything he solves. Handwriting difficult to read. Prepare to learn from textbook+YT. Exam very different from lecture examples, even if you solve all lecture+assignment questions you can get 0 on exam He's unapproachable, rude, judgemental, tough grader
Professor Alirezaie's lectures were informational and helpful. I did not have to read much theory from the textbook after attending his lectures. The examples solved in lecture provide an excellent reference for when you go to practice the material on your own with the textbook problems, which is essential for success in this course.
A seemingly childish professor, who laughs at you during an exam for asking a normal question. He thinks he is so much smarter than you, but he couldn't even respond correctly to a student having a seizure during the midterm and was then later seen laughing amongst the TAs. His notes are extremely messy, and lack detail.
