He taught all lab sections different information during labs, then grades you 50-60% for big assignments because of one small thing that he didn't even mention in labs. He yelled at the class too, and was unwelcoming to revaluating projects that students failed BECAUSE OF HIM.
He seems nice but he always demands extra from his students and tries to prove that he is smarter. Sometimes he will also be quite disrespectful and rude to you.
so bro talks at the speed of light and its also impossible to actually retain and info in his labs. What's the point of a hands on lab when I gotta search up yt tutorials after, please actually do your job. He's rude at times as well had him twice and he's actually so boring.
I've had Martin 2 times now and he's an okay prof. I wouldn't say that I particularly enjoyed his courses. He can be a bit rude at times but he marks fairly which I appreciate. At times he doesn't help his students during labs which can be very annoying. Overall he's an okay prof & I didn't hate having him as my prof but I wish I had a better prof
Wants students to succeed, but not in a way where he'll give you all the answers. Willing to help students who cared about the class but seemed a bit exasperated with the students who clearly didn't care.
Wants students to succeed, but not in a way where he'll give you all the answers and you don't learn anything. Very willing to help students who put in the effort if they ask for it. He does seem to get a bit exasperated with students who clearly don't care about the class though.
had prof. habekost for gcm110 and he was so sweet and extremely accommodating! my midterm submitted by accident after i had only completed part of it - emailed him and explained the situation, and he gave me another day as an extension. he makes class super interactive and gcm110 is great as a credit course or one to let your creativity flow.
Nice guy. His quote "Work with students, not against them". Cares about students and is very understanding. We do have to buy a textbook but it's worth it. Marks fairly and gives extensions if requested. Highly recommend.
easily one of the nicest profs ive ever had! martin is hilarious and his music taste is phenomenal. you can tell he cares about his students and he is just overall an amazing person. i literally love this man he is such a good prof
If you get the opportunity to be taught by him I really recommend it. His online lectures were recorded, and his class has a few assignments which aren't too hard. I live abroad so getting the textbook sent was going to take a while. I emailed him and he was so caring and told me not to worry and that he would delay my quizzes.
