Best professor ever. If you are a person who requires little to no help he is the best. He is helpful in providing detailed notes and links to resources but otherwise you teach yourself. The notes contain everything you need anyway. I personally loved it but it may not be for everyone. Everything is due at the end of the semester and hw is easy.
He doesn't conduct lectures at all for this course. He gives you a bunch of PowerPoint slides for you to just read along. No recorded video or audio lectures. You're better off not taking this course from this professor because you'll be doing a lot of readings on your own. Doesn't seem to help students out.
he is the worst. doesn't explain any assignments/tests, and just does his awkward laugh if he doesn't know the answer to something. don't ever take a class with him
Professor Rose is definitely a very nice person, however he could significantly improve his lecture/professor game, his grading criteria are inconsistent. He hasn't actually lectured in any of the lectures I've attended, he was more of a bystander, using group work, and other useless activities to pass time. If the option is there AVOID this prof.
The professor does not teach in class, he stated that you are adult learners and are supposed to read before you come to class, therefore he will not be taking up anything in class. During class he has case scenarios, which were not useful. He is a tough grader, and his expectations are sky high in a course he refuses to teach, read your textbook
Very nice guy, but could improve his lecture skills. Lectures were not useful, but the test was textbook heavy, READ EVERYTHING! MEMORIZE EVERYTHING in the TEXTBOOK! Test was heavy on the multiple multiple, online modules are important to watch, and they take hours to get though. Good luck!
He is vague in giving instructions regarding homework. He expects a lot but does not support students in group projects. He is inconsistent with his grading mechanics. He is making an easy A course very difficult. He gives back feedbacks on homework very late, wherein you cant improve on your next one.
He gives minimal expectations prior to assignments (very confused himself) and provides detailed feedback after grading the assignment, regarding matters that were not clarified prior to assignment submission.
I have had the privilege of having him as a faculty advisor for clinical, and I am very amazed by how caring he is. I emailed him in the morning about a clinical issue and he made himself available to meet with me that same day. He is also receptive to questions about assignments and very supportive with feedback!
Don Rose is without a doubt my fave teacher, he always has something to say to help you understand the concepts. He answers questions quickly, he always takes you seriously, he is very concerned about your progress.
