You won't learn much in this class, but Professor Vickers is clear, kind, and communicative.
Words simply can not describe how amazing Dr. Vickers is at her job. She is dedicated, thorough, professional and extremely knowledgeable in her field, psychology. I eagerly keep checking to see if and when she teaches any of the PSY courses so I can take those. Highly recommended!
Dr. Vickers is super organized, caring, and knowledgeable. 100% the nicest person I've ever met - I can go on and on about how amazing she is. The course was tough, lots of content to digest. But if you're ready to work hard, A+ is achievable. I don't have a bio background but still managed to pull thru just fine. Essay is easy, tests are harder.
Very interesting course and prof Kristin Vickers is the best. Exams and assignments are fair but kind of hard for non psychology major students.
Love Professor Vickers! Her lectures were clear and straight to the point. Her grading was fair and criteria and expectations were made clear for all exams and essays. She’s super kind and helpful when you have any questions. Would 100% take more of her courses.
Professor Vickers might be my favourite person on this earth. The nicest, most caring and accommodating professor I've ever had. I wish she could teach every course. Tests were easy since we were online, but I can see how they'd be difficult closed book. a lot of content to memorize.
One of the best professors you'll ever have. If only she taught more courses -- I'd absolutely take them. Her lectures are amazing and informative, and she truly cares for her students. I don't know if I would've gotten a better mark by doing textbook readings, I just studied from her lectures and slides.
Dr. Vickers is 10/10 the best prof at Ryerson! She is very considerate and genuinely wants all her students to succeed and motivates everyone to do and be their best. Although the course was content-heavy (a good background knowledge of basic biology is key), as long as you read the textbook and keep up with the lectures, it's an easy A!
She is a very kind professor who genuinely cares about her students. However, this course is quite content-heavy. There is a lot of content including biology but each exam is non-cumulative so you can easily catch up. The essay is also very is easy to do well on as she provides clear requirements.
If you have this professor, you already know you're blessed. She's passionate, caring and has an easy-going personality! She makes her lectures clear and entertaining but she does go slow paced only for people to thoroughly understand. She values how students feel and is a genuine kind professor but you do need to work hard!
