Entirely unprofessional, lashes out at students following her own mistakes. Incredibly difficult to deal with, and if you aren't perfect in her eyes then be prepared to get critiqued and belittled by Marion. Avoid her at all costs if you value your sanity.
Very confusing and unclear instructions or what she wants. Makes you feel little. So many projects/assignments happen at the same time. Really straightforward. I get that she trying to give feedback but more like 'your way is wrong' calls out students in front of everyone. Felt embrassing.
She's so patient. she sends reminder emails when things are due
Marion is one of the best professors I've ever had. She actually cares about her students and how they do in class. I joined the class a little late since I dropped another course. She took the time to organize a call with me and tell me about everything I missed. I've never met a more genuine and amazing person. 100% recommend.
She's a nice person overall, but she's a little disorganized
Marion is one of THE BEST profs you will ever have! EVER. Take her class, you will be so happy you did. We had our class at 8am, and I could not wait to go in and see her. She is so funny, and approachable, she is experienced and knows her stuff and is so understanding of her students. She wants you to do well and really helps. Just an angel in RTA
Marion knows what she's talking about and can give great advice. Class was fun and easy-going. Only think is she's a tad forgetful sometimes and if she approves a topic she'll forget she did & it all goes downhill from there
These reviews do not do the saint that is Marion Coomey justice. She is extremely helpful with "real world" feedback and will set you up with anyone you want to talk to. I don't know about her other classes, but her presentation skills are beautiful - even when she naturally interviews guests. I learned a lot and yes, the dinner party is mint.
She is the happiest, most lively, sweetest person you will ever meet. She has a lot of connections in the "real world" and gives a lot of constructive feedback. You need to be in class every week because you use studios. It is all worth it when she has her dinner party at the end of the semester!
Best professor I've had at Ryerson thus far. Knows exactly what she's talking about and is an absolute joy!
