He lacks Engagement, clarity and he is disorganized. Only plus is that he gives Y0u questions that would be on your exam but that is not right considering its a language class and that you are not there to cram but learn french. Also he has 40% for attendance and participation that would be given to you at his own discretion.
Ignore all negative comments. If you show up to class, and do the 20 mins of homework he gives every week, you can easily get an A or A+. He is easy. His tests are identical to the exercises done in class. He is a really good guy, and genuinely wants to teach his students. I learnt the most with him than any other prof. I strongly recommend.
He's a really nice professor! Tells you all the questions he's going to test you on and also a really easy marker! I got an A in his class! He's really kind too! Definitely better than other french teachers!
What a wonderful teacher! Very surprised the ratings aren't higher for him. He's so sweet and very understanding and flexible. I feel 100% comfortable trying to speak french in his classroom enviro. I'm hoping to having him in following years. Great prof :)
i took him for 101 and 201 i cant believe people thinking bad about him its probably your own fault by not putting effort because u just need to go to the class and do homework.he has so much knowledge he randomly gives you info about history culture basically everything and he is the nicest sweetest prof ive ever seen.i love him!!
Meh, he is quite dull and like the previous comment stated, not very engaging. Content is still basic as it is just a continuation of 101. Approachable and nice man, but can be unclear at times. Breakdown is quite 'broad' (20% for 3 tests, 20% participation, 20% mini in-class activities, 20% oral final, 20% written final). So-so overall.
I took up to Grade 11 French and I still struggled to get 70s in his class, that's how hard he is. He throws trick questions on the test, does not engage with the class, and is very soft-spoken so its hard to hear him. For an intro level class he expected too much, too soon.
he speaks a lot of french in the class but you realize that its actually helping you out. He wasn't unfair and he was very helpful.
very understanding, judgement-free, very flexible
Sometimes hard to understand and unclear in instructions. Not a very structured class and very unconventional marking compared to typical uni classes. Tests are worth nothing (% wise). All the marks come from assignments, homework and participation. Need to attend every single class to get decent mark. Overall nice guy.
