Songnian Li

He was a supportive instructor who genuinely invested in student learning. He designed thoughtful and appropriately challenging assignments that encouraged critical thinking and skill development. The course required consistent effort, but the challenges were constructive and helped deepen understanding of the material.

Avoid him if you want to enjoy the program. He sucks the life out of students and does nothing other than read repeated slides. He doesn't like open discussions and questions. He might be a good researcher but not good at teaching. I had great expectations from his course, and I enjoy this field, which may be why I am disappointed.

Dr. Li is by far the least favorite professor, for the teaching quality his exams are super hard. He pretends to care and teach but in reality he does nothing of those. He makes an interesting course dull and boring. Unlike many other professors at TMU, he is by far the worst and can make students hate the subject easily.

Dr. Li shows that he is interested in supporting the students, but it's done for formality. The class is very boring,he only reads slides and may add very important info in the footnote, which he barely read. The exam level compared to the instruction is HARD; had to read extra resources, watch YouTube and ask experts to be able to get this grade.

The problem with him is that he just stands there and talks which is really boring. I hate the fact that he made us buy a book that had little to do with the course material because the powerpoint and hmwkfinal questions were from another book. Make sure to do previous year finals they somewhat similar, he also lets you use computers in class.

The reason why people fail civil. Teaches a pointless class, with things we don't even need to know. Then to top it all off shows the program that does everything we did better. The real kicker? Never shows us how to properly use it.

Really Nice prof! He's a very smart man, class is a little dull but he genuinely cares about students. Overall not a hard class at all, very fair prof. If you're willing to put in a some effort, you'll do good!

he try hard to bring students to his lectures, by sending lie email,something like>>i will solve sample questions in lecture, however he doesn't do it!there is no sample question for future exams, from 500 student, only less than 20 student attend his lectures. his exams are out of his lecture notes, lecture notes doesn't have right answer!

very bad proff, don't ever take anything with him. lectures are so useless !!!! he doesn't have pervious tests or anything!!!

Course is relatively easy but the prof had no teaching ability at all. The TA's were rude and not helpful.
