Knud is great! He doesn't lecture using the textbook which is good because you actually learn about real life things (i.e. everything becomes a toaster). The textbook is needed for the final exam, and Knud does a mini review for it. As for the assignments, ask the GA for guidance as it will help you get a better grade. Tip: GET A GOOD GROUP.
Knud is majorly under-rated. I was in his class and in Jevkovics and I would deff choose Jensen if I had the chance to take the course again. He seems out dated but he knows whats up, AND hes super funny
He is a good prof, helpful and treats students fairly. His lectures have no content from the textbook but they are easy lectures to sit through. The biggest fault is the assignments as the TA marks everything and has completely different expectations, if you don't see the TA to do the assignments you won't do that well. Also, exam is from the text.
First of all, the exam is a joke. It's just 100 MC questions out of the textbook... Read the glossary and you're good. The Projects were brutal though. He would tell you one thing, and the head of BUS800 would mark it another way. Jensen kind of likes to story tell and gets off topic a lot. It's also creepy that he takes a photo of everyone.
Knud is an interesting person, he has a lot of business experience. The course has a huge individual assignment not to be taken lightly, which you repeat in groups. MAKE SURE YOU'RE IN A GOOD GROUP! Good participation matters, he sees who isn't paying attention. The final was based on the textbook despite minimal textbook reference during lectures
Awful prof. Loves to pick on certain individuals for the whole semester. You would think because he picks on you so much your participation mark would be high but when you check his attendance you barely have any check marks... Assignments are not hard but the problem is he does not mark them, another prof does. AVOID!!! His classes have lower avgs
Very unorganized. We had class on Mondays and he would email you telling you what to do the Saturday before. He loves to pick on certain students during class. If he calls you first couple classes you can expect to be called every class. Doesn't teach the book at all but the book must be read for the exam. He does not mark his classes work. Avoid.
I am torn about this class, I enjoyed his lectures and if you do participate he does appreciate that and will take note of it. He does not mark his long assignments but he is very clear on what he wants (BUT YOU HAVE TO READ THE HANDOUT) . He will not teach you the textbook but you will take about real life situations which i preferred.
When I attended Ryerson in 1994/1995 he was generally regarded by the business student body as being the stupidest professor on the faculty!!!!
He was not very organized with his instructions. Up to today, even though our grades are put up on RAMSS, he has not put up individual marks on Blackboard., neither did any of us know what marks we were going in after our mid-term. I was not happy with his teaching.
